Sponsoring a child through Compassion costs $41 a month.
This money is used to provide for the physical, educational, emotional, and spiritual needs of children and their families in 26 countries around the world.
Compassion makes a commitment to use no less than 80% of your financial gift to directly benefit the child that you sponsor. In 2012, this amount was actually 85.3%!
Compassion started working in both Uganda and Kenya in 1980.
In Uganda there are currently 71,600 children registered with the program in 260 projects.
In Kenya there are currently 74,900 children registered with the program in 285 projects.
